The Story of Furia (Fufu)

Some stories begin with a cry that is almost impossible to hear.
Furia’s story, whom we lovingly call Fufu, began in an abandoned place across from a small café in Marrakech where my husband used to drink his morning coffee.

One day, as he was passing by the deserted building, he heard a tiny meow.
On the first floor, behind a broken window, a very small kitten was sitting all alone. She was crying, lost and frightened, as if she were calling for help.

It was impossible to enter the building. So my husband began climbing along the outside wall to help her. Through a hole in the window, he passed her a little food, day after day.
Little by little, the tiny cat began waiting for him. She recognized his presence, and her eyes already seemed filled with trust.

After some time, it became clear that she could not remain there. That abandoned place was not safe for such a small life.

So one day, he gently took her into his arms and brought her home.

That is how Furia became part of our family.

Today, Fufu is an extremely gentle and affectionate cat. She loves being around people, following them around the house, sitting close to them, and receiving affection. She always seeks the company of the people she loves.

But Furia has a special personality: she does not feel comfortable around other cats. In order for her to live peacefully, we had to create a special space just for her in the house, where she feels safe and surrounded by attention.

Fufu is now protected and loved, but like many of the cats we have rescued, she needs daily care, food, and attention.
